Open the Settings app

Look for the gear-shaped icon on the main screen.

Go to "Network"

Scroll down and select Network to open the settings page.

Select your connection

Click the box under "Connection". Your Apple TV will start scanning for available Wi-Fi networks.

Choose your network

Scroll through the list and select your Wi-Fi network.

Enter your password

Use the onscreen keyboard to type in your Wi-Fi password and press Done.

Confirm connection

Once connected, your network will appear at the top of the list under "Connection" on the Network page.

Apple TV remembers previously connected networks and will prioritize them.
For Apple TV 2nd or 3rd Generation:

Open Settings > General

From the main screen, select Settings, then click on General.

Select "Network"

Scroll down and choose the Network tab.

Choose your Wi-Fi network

Apple TV will scan for nearby networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.

Enter Wi-Fi password
-
Type your network password. Once connected, the network will show as active.
